Ten Little Puppies to Ten Lovely Homes

Zeke's first litter and our first completely Brambly Mountain sourced puppies have all found their forever families. I always love to let people know where everyone ended up. And this is a litter particularly special to me because I have raised both the mom and dad. I can't wait to see how everyone turns out. A little anticipation and nervousness follows in the first few months of homing our puppies as I wait to get updates - and of course I'm hoping they'll all be good ones!!
Leia, now Leah, went to a sweet couple from Galax, VA who have started a multi-generational farm. I am impressed with their new venture and I truly hope Leah adds the farm-dog touch them will need to have a successful farm to pass along to their children!
Luke, now Milo (named after the old Milo and Otis Disney movie!) went to a beautiful family with 3 kids in the countryside of Lyme, CT. They hope to use all their space to run off his energy and wear out their kids!
Padme, now Ella, went to a couple in Northern California whose grandfather once owned an OTSC from Zeke's lines! I found that so exciting!
Han Solo, now Murphy, went to a lovely family in Zionsville, IN, the heart of the Indy 500! He is settling in nicely with a fun 13 year-old to keep him busy!
Chewbacca, now Angus, went to a couple in eastern PA who wanted a companion for their current best friend who looks a lot like Lucy! It's kind of crazy to think they aren't related, but they sure look like it!
Skywalker, now Lyra, went to a single guy in NYC to explore the parks of the city and as a weekend companion to hike and travel. Funny side story: He couldn't find a rental ANYWHERE in Asheville when he flew in to pick up Skywalker. I found it hilarious that the only option was a UHaul 🤣🤣🤣
Rose, now Rosie, went to a couple here in Asheville to provide love and support in the hopes of being trained as a therapy dog in the future.
Poe, now Ranger, went to a couple in Ellihay, GA who is interested in training him in search and rescue one day!
Rey, now Coco, went to a family in Elfland, NC to guard chickens and garden on a large piece of property.
Lando, now Kelso, went international! All the way to a busy family with 4 kiddos in Nova Scotia! We were pretty excited to send our first puppy across the border of the US.
And to keep the updates going, remember Sadie? We rehomed her because of a few behavioral issues that we felt made her unsuitable for breeding. She went to a beautiful family in Alabama several months ago!
And our newest girl, Penny, unfortunately developed an overbite. This also made her unsuitable for breeding. Thankfully she has found a lovely woman in Missouri to make her home with. The situation couldn't have worked out better even though it was hard to say goodbye to such a sweet little pup.
And in the meantime, we got one more graduated (Whoohoo!) this spring. Hannah graduated with her CNA and won defensive player of the year in her senior soccer season. Couldn't be prouder of this beautiful girl. 2 down, 5 to go... It goes too fast!!!
And then this one decided to fall out of tree on our church's father/son camping trip. First accident the trip has ever had in the history of the annual 25 year tradition. When the cast technician learned this was Malachi's 3rd broken bone she asked when he was getting his bubble. To which our eldest explained Malachi would find a way to pop the bubble and suffocate. The number of accidents this one has had... I'll be excited if he makes it to his own graduation without another one!!
Never a dull moment here! We have one last Lucy and Zeke litter planned for the fall before Lucy will be retired. And then it will be Maple’s turn to fill Lucy’s big shoes in 2027! Stay tuned for more puppies!
And last, but not least, I've been meaning to post this for months (my limited technical skills kept me from making it happen), but one of our owners from the spring 2025 litter sent me the nicest review of Bandit (now Iroh).
