I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday with your family this week! We relaxed with my parents and had the rare and extra special treat of a white Christmas - which doesn't happen as often as we'd like in the mountains of WNC. But when it does it makes for a beautiful day as everything brightens in a white and sparkly world.

The puppies were 4 weeks old on Christmas Day! 4 weeks opens up a whole new world for puppies. We moved them into a larger space with a litter tray. We also begin to allow more interaction with outside guests to widen their social circle a bit. And feedings are increased to 2 times per day to encourage weaning. We added in ground egg shell, diatomaceous earth, and organ meat!. Most of the puppies are right around 5 pounds - shooting up a whopping 2 whole pounds this week!
Here's a video showing their new space: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/uxmfimntxd8

Although we'll have to get the upgrade ready soon because Polly, our fearless little explorer, has already figured out how to escape.

And so here they are - the 4 week photos! So incredible how much they have grown into their own little selves so quickly. It really has been such a remarkable privilege to be a part of the beginnings of these sweet, beautiful creatures.
